Brno, Capuchin Crypt Back

Cloister Church

The Capuchin crypt which is located below the Church of the Holy Cross is the most famous part of the Capuchin Monastery in Brno. The crypt dates from the 17th century and 150 bodies were buried here, of which 42 mummies have been preserved to this day.

Except for Christmas and Easter, the Capuchin crypt is open daily all year round. At the box office one can buy a printed guide that introduces its history and highlights important points that should not be missed. There is a special Capuchin guide for children. The length of the tour depends on each visitor and is limited only by the opening hours.
